    A cheap 79%* efficient, pocket sized 3350mAh power bank., October 14, 2015

    CONTENTS.
    —————–
The EasyAcc Classic 3350mAh power bank comes supplied in a simple plain brown card box with product information printed on, this is accompanied by an instruction leaflet and USB A to Micro B charging cable that measures 20.5cm in length (excluding connectors).

    MEASUREMENTS.
    ————————–
The following measurements are taken with a digital calliper and are accurate to within 0.1%.

    Length = 101mm
    Diameter = 24mm
    Weight = 71g

    IN USE.
    ———-
On the side of the power bank there is a small non illuminated power button. Above this there are 4 very small LEDs which act as a charge indicator of the power banks capacity, each light representing a 25% charged capacity. When all 4 are lit the power bank is full and when there is just one remaining and it is flashing the power bank is empty.

The supplied cable is basic, a little stiff and full of kinks but fully serviceable.

The build quality is very good with everything fitting together well, the ports and supplied cable are a little wobbly, but they are secure The materials used are of good quality with the main body of the power bank being made from a black finely textured, durable ABS plastic.

I have to admit, given the small size of the device I would love to have seen a small pouch or case included no matter how basic. This would prove very useful for keeping the power bank and cable together when stored within a handbag or laptop bag etc… Even if this added to the cost slightly I think I would have been a worthy inclusion.

    TESTING RESULTS.
    —————————
The following testing was conducted with a DROK® Mini USB Current Voltage Charger Detector Multimeter Power Capacity 0-99999mAh; 0-30.00W; DC 0.00-3.00A; DC 3.50-13.0V Ampmeter Voltmeter Multi-in-1; OLED Mobile Testing Power Monitor with Screen Rotation Function; Power-off Storage Function; Over- and Under-voltage Alarm Function.

The power bank was first obviously left to charge overnight till 100% full.

The first device up for charging was a Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen. The Moto G which has a capacity of 2070mAh and was already 73%% charged. The phone was switched on, WiFi was on but everything else was off including the screen. Initial readings were 4.285w and 0.85A.

After 12 minutes the phone was charged 10%
After 23 minutes the phone was charged 16%
After 40 minutes the phone was charged 21%
After 51 minutes the phone was charged 23%
After 1 hour and 7 minutes the phone was charged 27%

The total output of the power bank while charging the Moto G was 773mAh + 14mAh consumed by the multimeter.

Total estimated power bank output at this point = 787mAh

    Samsung S2 test.
The phone has a 1800mAh battery and at the start had a charge of just 9%, initial readings were 0.66A and 3.319w. The phone was left on with the screen, data, Bluetooth off and WiFi on. Further timed readings are as follows

After 15 minutes the phone was charged 10%
After 28 minutes the phone was charged 20%
After 38 minutes the phone was charged 28%
After 53 minutes the phone was charged 39%
After 1 hour and 23 minutes the phone was charged 62%
After 1 hour and 57 minutes the phone was charged 71%
2 hours 52 minutes the phone was charged 91%

According to the multimeter the power bank discharged 1830mAh while charging the phone. During use the multimeter also consumed and additional 30mAh.

Current estimated drain on battery = 1860mAh

The total output of the power bank at this point was 2647mAh

I then plugged in my Nexus 7 and the final light of the power bank began flashing and then it switched off, the battery was empty. Just to double check I went back to Moto G which was now showing a charge of 95% and the power bank was most certainly dead.

The total output of the EasyAcc power bank from fully charged to fully dead during one somewhat slightly non scientific test that was not conducted in a controlled environment with results that should not be taken too seriously and are as such just a guide gave an output reading of 2647mAh.

With the power bank having a capacity of 3350mAh this indicates an efficiency of 79%. The average efficiency of these devices is about 80% and more premium devices offing an efficiency of around 90% with few managing more than 93%. Considering the price the efficiency rating isn’t bad at all.

In reality there is probably a +/- 2% to 3% margin of error in my results.

    A couple of additional points
After 4 hours of constant use the power bank never even became slightly warm to the touch.
The power bank is rather slow to charge taking around 5 hours on a PC USB port…

Good Compact Lipstick Charger, March 26, 2016

This is your typical smartphone lipstick portable battery with a 3350mAh battery.

The output on this charger is 1 Amp so it’s equivalent to your typical standard smartphone charger

I use mine to top up the battery on my iPhone 6 and for me I get a couple top ups a day when using this charger.

If your phone is completely dead you can expect to get 1 full charge from this portable battery.

Overall this is a good, compact, portable charger at a competitive price.

I received a sample from the manufacturer for testing and unbiased evaluation.

Sharp looking, Tiny, but just not powerful enough., October 26, 2015
    By
    Tristan (New York, NY) –

So this is not an Anker power bank. Easily the best brand out there when it comes to power supplies. I have written many reviews on them and trust them with all my smartphone needs. However I was sent this to give an unbiased review of, so here goes:

The EasyAcc is small, lightweight, and charges quickly. It can bring an iPhone 6S Plus from 50-100 in about an hour. It can bring an iPhone 6 from 10-100 in about an hour as well. Problem is, that is it. You get a half a charge out of it for a plus and a full charge for a regular.

This is a 3350 mAh powerbank and the batteries in the iPhone’s are 2/3rd the size, but alas it doesn’t quite hold up for more than 1 charge or 1.2 a charge.

Price point, for not being Anker this is a good level, but in terms of reliability, I would rather carry a little bit of a larger power supply that can charge me multiple times, so I never have to worry about what wall to plug into. Plus with having to charge two items, I would rather charge one power bank overnight and have it yield a week or more of comfort than charge this everyday.

Overall it does what it says it does, but it just doesn’t have enough power for what I think everyday useage looks like on smartphones these days.

I do like the LEDS and colors, very good build quality. But just not powerful enough.

P.S. The company sent me this in an email: “By the way, Amazon regards a review with 3 star or under 3 stars as negative. Since this item is sent free for a review. We are wondering if you mind increasing a little one star? That means a lot to us.” To me that is NOT asking for an UNBIASED review. The star rating system says 3 is “It’s Ok” and 4 is “I Like it” I don’t like it. Due to this, I am dropping this to a star for not actually looking for UNBIASED reviews. This is amazon and reviews are important to the consumer, not just fluff.
