NOT a true 600W power supply. Better double check the specs., June 4, 2014

If you think the PSU will provide you with 600W across the board you are wrong. I got it because I needed 12V with at least 380W but upon trying this thing out it would shut off after running my device after 10-30 seconds. Turns out that you are only getting a max of 24 amps at 12V which comes to less than 300W! The used ‘creative math’ to somehow add up the wattages of 3V 5V and 12V but that is hardly what people consider when buying a PSU. Might be OK for very low power PC’s without any kind of discreet graphic card.

Best budget power supply I’ve used., June 22, 2015

First, I have to say that I’ve only been using this power supply for a week and will update my review if anything changes down the road. I was trying to build a relatively inexpensive PC around some components I acquired secondhand (specifically an LGA1156 i7 and MB for it). Here’s what I ended up with in terms of hardware/power draw in addition to the aforementioned processor/motherboard combo:
    1. 2x DVD-RW optical drives
    2. Raptor 10k rpm hard drive
    3. Seagate 500GB 7200 rpm hard drive
    4. PNY GeForce 740 2GB video card
    5. 6x case fans (not counting the PS and CPU fans) – I won’t keep this in the system long term, but was trying to add a little more draw on the supply for testing

With the components listed above and having overclocked the CPU slightly with the biostar mb’s overclock tool, I burned the system in with SiSoftware Sandra. The full system burn-in completed with no issues. I have also used the system to render some 3D models and run some high fps games (well, as high as the video card would allow).

All that said, the system has performed well and voltages have remained as expected. Assuming the PS doesn’t fail early I can’t see anything about it that I’m not happy with.

Wanted an inexpensive unit to drive server type hardware. Succeeded., November 9, 2014

I used this in a rebuild of an 8 core system that was unstable after running hot for way too long. I was having issues that could be the old power supply so I purchased this. Three days of constant running indicate that I accomplished what I wanted with this power supply: (1) Inexpensive and (2) able to drive server type hardware. I have five hard drives on this rig plus a 125W processor. I also am running 5 fans and a mid-line video card. Hey, I don’t play games on the rig so I don’t need that power hungry, expensive video card. Finally, I have 32GB of RAM. This unit is not sweating a bit and is very quiet. There are some minor gripes and I do mean minor. (1) Mine came with no mounting screws. Not a problem for me as I have plenty from having built machines for years. (2) Many of the power wires have only one wire tie to hold the four wires together and it is positioned toward the connection end. So I dug out four screws and quickly put additional ties on the wires. It works and the wires routed nicely in the case. I could not be happier with an inexpensive power supply.

Super Powerful Power Supply for All your Needs!, May 27, 2015
    By
Long’s Tech Reviews (Richfield, MN) –

Customer Video Review Length:: 8:50 Mins

I’ve been using a 750 watt power supply in my first computer build and it is running nice and smoothly. In the video you can see it partially installed into my first computer build. Currently I have it running in my 2nd Computer build and it is handling everything with no problems at all. I am just in love with this Power Supply!.

The Power supply is made nice and durable and is larger than most power supplies out in the market. It is nice and solid and has a nice large fan on it to blow heat out. The Power Supply is fully modular and it is perfect for cable management. Currently I have all my cables hooked up to the back of my computer and it is looking nice and clean in my computer case.

The Power supply comes with all the cables that you will need to get it up and working. Even though it is 1200 Watts, it is rated 80 Plus Platinum. So the power supply is nice and efficient.

When installed into the computer the fan is nice and quite and not loud at all, you can’t even hear the fan running at all.

With my computer setup, I am able to plug everything into the computer and it will still be able to run nice and smoothly. I have multi monitors and it runs just fine with no problems at all. Even with a few graphics cards, it will still continue to run smoothly.

If you are ever in need of a Huge Power Supply I highly recommend this one because it is really nice and works like a charm. Installation for the power supply is really nice and easy.

After a fair amount of research I got this PSU. It was used to replace a 400 watt PSU that came with a Velocity Micro system. This came with more than enough modular cables than I needed, which is a good thing. It installed easy and all of the cables fit within the tower. So far there have been no problem. It’s not the quietest PSU that I’ve used, but that could also be the PC tower design. It’s running an i7, 12 GB ram, 1 SSD, 1 HD, a DVD burner and an Nvidia 650 Ti 2 GB with no problems.

Color me impressed., March 12, 2014

I’d never heard of the brand before, and I was a bit wary when the first two website results I found for the company weren’t active websites. But the specs seemed to be exactly what I wanted and the price was hard to beat, so I took a chance. I’m glad I did. The box it came it was simple, but nice, and included one of the non-working websites printed on the side, but I opened it to find a well-protected PSU (surrounded by dense foam padding on all sides) and a box with separately wrapped cables. It just looked like a company that takes pride in their products. There was even a small plastic film covering the FSP logo in the center of the fan. After taking it out, I was even more happy. The powder coating was flawless – not an extra glob in any of the vent holes or a bubble in the finish. The whole thing just screamed quality. As expected, it powered up my system just fine, so that’s always a good thing. I assume it’s running at spec and given the attention to the exterior and packaging, I expect it to continue doing so for quite a while. Review will be updated if it dies in a month.

Two negatives: First, it is slightly louder than the 6-year-old Thermaltake it replaced, but not by much. And considering I have a total of four 120mm fans and two 80mm, I’m not bothered at all by it. The computer makes noise already. Second is more of a personal problem, but might affect others. There are 7 SATA connectors, but they come on only two cables, neither of which is long enough to reach both of my optical drives and my hard drive, so I had to install both. On the plus side, it came with a few velcro cable ties to pull everything together and out of the way. Oh, one other thing. For some reason, some of the cables have a braided overwrap, but others have a rubberized cover (the SATA cables are one of each, which makes it weirder).

Altogether, I’m quite pleased with it so far and hope it lasts me a long time.
