Ordered these. Returning these. I’ve order dozens of recordable DVD spindles packs over the years to put family movies to share for the holidays, both single layer and DL and these are the absolute WORST I’ve ever had. I will occasionally get a package with a coaster or two, but the first 3 of this package failed, then I tried a disk near the bottom of the spindle and another near the middle. ALL FAILED. I tried a couple of different brands of disks to verify it wasn’t my burner and the other brand burned fine. I tried on another burner with identical results. This is a shame since I like the hub printable format, but if it doesn’t burn properly it’s WORTHLESS.

The price is good. No real problem with them. I burn them using a Lite-On DVD burner. A lot of people complained about these, but I think the main culprit is the DVD writer’s age or brand. I had a Sony writer and it burned DVD that became unusable. No error message, but I couldn’t use the DVD on anything. I thought it was the disk but I tried on a friend’s DVD writer and they worked perfectly! So I replaced my DVD writer. I don’t remember how fast the disk was written on my friend’s writer, but on my brand new Lite-On with the speed set at 8X, it take more than 30 minutes. I’ve had blank dual-layer disk that burned much faster. I don’t care that they are inkjet compatible, but they were the cheapest I could find at that time.

This was a strange one. My first 3 (maybe 4) disks were all coasters. I was about to send the box back, but decided I’d try just one more. It worked fine. Same recorder (Plextor 880SA) and no other changes, except I probably chose a slower recording speed that time. Made a few more–all fine. I’ve done probably 15 or so good recordings in a row. Now why didn’t the first few work? Top of the stack damaged? They all looked good.

Well, despite the shaky start, I ordered a 2nd box. The first 10 or so all worked fine. So, go figure. I’m using a slow recording speed on all the remaining, but I don’t mind the extra time as long as they keep recording.

So stay tuned; if they start messing up again, I’ll modify this review….

I have been using this brand for several years now and they are extremely reliable and I typically never have more than one or two bad out of a 50 pack. The printable surfaces work well with my Canon printer and no ink smudges.

Great discs, on par with brands like Verbatim. Good quality., June 14, 2015

Picked these up because my normal brand was out of stock. I am a die hard Verbatim fan. These are really nice discs. On par with Verbatim for sure. I had heard of Ridata before but never used them. Will definitely look to them again in the future.

One thing I really liked is they are printable. I don’t print on DVD’s but I do write on them. Them being printable makes writing on them so much better.

Overall I’ve about 20 of the 50 and haven’t had any burn issues. All burned 100% and worked in multiple devices.
